403 Failed check: alerts, never counted as downtime

HTTP 403 Forbidden

The server understood the request and refused it.

What it usually means

The server understood the request and refused it. This is very often a firewall, a bot filter, or an IP allowlist that does not include our checker — not the site being down. If it loads in your own browser, allowlist ErrorDetector.

What to check first

How ErrorDetector reports it

The target answered, so this is reported as a failed check, not downtime: the alert names the reason, the uptime percentage is untouched, and a recovery notice follows when the check passes again.
